Enrolling at OHS

Onehunga High School, in-zone and out-of-zone enrolments are made via the completion of an enrolment form followed by a meeting with either a member of the Senior Leadership team or Dean. This allows us to meet with you and discuss any specific queries or questions that you may have. Each meeting takes about 20 minutes. Prior to attending the enrolment interview, it is beneficial that you look through our academic programme so that you are aware of the elective subjects on offer (please see link below).

Year 9 2024 Academic Programme information can be found here

In-Zone enrolments: An appointment for an enrolment is required. If you complete the on-line form you will be contacted by the school to arrange this meeting.

Out-of-Zone Enrolments: Out of Zone applications for 2024 closed on Wednesday 30 August 2023 and the ballot was drawn on Wednesday 6 September 2023. No further Out of Zone enrolments can now be accepted for 2024.

Onehunga High School will hold a ballot annually to determine which Out of Zone students can be given the right to enrol for the following year. The ballot will be supervised by a solicitor, in accordance with the Enrolment Scheme. There are 50 places available for Out of Zone places for 2024.
